I’m very excited about the Low Camp Records compilation album that we’re putting together. We’ve got some amazing bands on board from all over the US. Please take a look at our website to check out some of the bands that have donated tracks.

Winter Solstice (Soulless)
…and he said, “You pour that out, and you’re going home.” If you weren’t there to plug in your guitar, play hard, and drink hard then you needn’t be there. If you couldn’t handle your alcohol then don’t bother showing up. That kind of shit was for the Brown students who drank at the local watering holes. This was the real deal. Anyone who wanted to...
four and five - 2008 tape by Trophy wife →
lowcamp:
So in our travels of the internets we at Low Camp (actually just Shana) have come across Trophy Wife. These two girls from PA rock hard, I love when melodramatic chord progressions are backed by the sound of a sweet sounding drumkit…especially when being wailed on. Check them out! I’m going to dig around for their 2008 tape.

Nicole and Rachel AKA SLUTEVER are two babes from Philadelphia, who live up to their name - dreaming about James Franco, 4 packs of condoms, playing at gay pride festivals and being interviewed..
Their self-recorded, self-mixed and self-released EP Sorry I’m Not Sorry is available now for free download via their Bandcamp page.
Be sure to catch them live when they open...

Never Too Old To Be Young
My 58 year old mom has been jamming out to Lady Gaga all afternoon. I have to admit…it’s kind of cute.
peartree:
I just put together the one-sheet for Wicked Eats The Warrior, by Nuclear Power Pants, going out for press release sometime soon. I know the album is scheduled to be re-released by Anchor Brain in late September. It was originally released by Wham City Records in 2009 but when Eric Paul saw them on tour last year, he “begged Nuclear Power pants to allow us to release their record.”
Once Bitten
I am sitting here in front of my computer on the back porch being eaten alive by mosquitoes. In case you were curious, we have a serious mosquito problem in southeast Texas every summer. There have been a couple of tropical depressions in the gulf, so far, that have made the issue, well, more of an issue. There are trucks and planes that cover the local towns in the evening with a fog of...

Patterns
In my opinion, patterns will be the death of me. Over and over again like a broken record. Boring, so boring. Manifestation lists, vision boards, and countless mantras and there they are, patterns, staring me down. There have been so many opportunities to change these patterns, and yet, here I am again…square one. Don’t get me wrong, there have been changes, some growth and much...

I don’t think people realize how much trouble we are in. The issue seems so overwhelming, I don’t know where to begin. Five thousand, fifty thousand, one hundred thousand barrels… It doesn’t matter. BP just ejaculated a shit ton of oil into the gulf, while our government is delivering the…

Draft Fiction:"Beeficus" Part II Chap. III
peartree:
“I have to let you go.” The simple yet extremely effective phrase bounced off Gus’s insides, upsetting his poor nauseated guts. It was the last thing he had expected, and wanted to hear from Brandon. The two had worked together for nearly three years now, climbing the ladder at the local “Progressives Protecting Water” office. Countless campaigns had been won together, and the two...

Back In RI
Well, I came up to Rhode Island on June 21st for a 10 day vacation and have decided to stay for the summer. I’ll be without my car and my dog for a couple of months. In the last 10 days that I’ve been here I have done more than I’ve done in the last year I’ve been in Texas. Going out for brunch at Julian’s, dinners at Local 121 and Garden Grille. A weekend in a suite...
Honorary Rho D'Islanda'
Part I
I’m heading to Providence this Sunday. I’ll get to visit with good friends. It’s been a few years since my last visit. I’m looking forward to the weather, visiting some old haunts, playing music, swimming at Carr Pond, and lots of organic food! I have a lot of memories of Rhode Island…some really intensely bad ones and some amazingly good ones. Having lived in...

The American people are losing the battle for their country and they don’t even know it. Corporate bailouts, followed by bankruptcies are the new trend in stealing public funds. It is slowly and deliberately bankrupting the America economy. Don’t let them fool you into thinking it is more complicated than that. The majority of us know how to balance a check book, or at least...

Death
So, I’ve lost two friends to drugs in less than three years. The second one died yesterday. I have known him since I was an impressionable 14 year old girl. He introduced me to the guitar which I will be forever grateful for. He and I dated for two years in high school. He took me to my first rock concert. He and I, also, had the great pleasure of seeing a Nirvana show! The show was about 6...
Paris
So I just found out that my best friend is moving to Paris. Wow. Currently, I live in Texas, and she lives in Rhode Island. We have an incredibly strong bond. I am extremely happy for her but also a bit sad. It’s not that difficult to fly to RI to see her, but Paris….hmmm. This may prove to be very challenging. It’s very rare to find someone who you can completely trust and...
